BusinessObjects Enterprise Administrator's Guide

Configuring the BusinessObjects Enterprise servers

The procedure for configuring the BusinessObjects Enterprise servers varies for Windows and UNIX.

To configure BusinessObjects Enterprise servers on Windows

  2. Stop the server.
  3.  On the toolbar, click Properties.
  4. In the Command box, add the following option:
  5. -port FQDN -requestport portnum

For the -port command, replace FQDN with the fully qualified domain name of the machine that is running the server. This machine must be routable from the application server.

For the -requestport command, substitute any valid free port number for portnum. If more than one server is installed on the same machine, each server on that machine must use a unique port number.

  8. Repeat for each BusinessObjects Enterprise server.

  5. -port FQDN -requestport portnum

For the -port command, replace FQDN with the fully qualified domain name of the machine that is running the server. This machine must be routable from the application server.

  6. Use ccm.sh to start the server.
