Modifying the default security levels

This procedure shows where you can modify the default object rights that users are granted to the top-level BusinessObjects Enterprise folder.

Initially, the Everyone group is granted Schedule access to the top-level folder, and the Administrators group is granted Full Control. You can change these default security levels to suit your needs. For a full description of object rights and inheritance patterns, see "Controlling users' access to objects" on page 312.

To modify top-level security settings

1. Go to the Settings management area of the CMC.
2. Click the Rights tab.
3. As required, change the value selected in the Access Level list for each user or group that is displayed.

4. Click Update.
5. Click Add/Remove to grant different levels of security to additional users or groups.
