BusinessObjects Enterprise Administrator's Guide

Unmapping NT groups

Similar to mapping, it is possible to unmap groups using the administrative tool in Windows NT/2000, or BusinessObjects Enterprise.

To unmap NT users and groups using Windows NT
  1. From the Administrative Tools program group, click User Manager.
  2. Select BusinessObjects NT Users.
  3. From the User menu, click Properties.
  4. Select the user(s) or group(s); then click Remove.
  5. Click OK.
  6. The user or group will no longer be able to access BusinessObjects Enterprise.

Note:    The only exceptions to this occur when a user has an alias to an Enterprise account. To restrict access, disable or delete the user's Enterprise account. For more information, see Managing Enterprise and general accounts.

To unmap NT users and groups using Windows 2000

  5. From the Action menu, click Properties.
  6. Select the user(s) or group(s); then click Remove.
  7. Click OK or Apply (and then Close) to complete the process.
  8. The user or group will no longer be able to access BusinessObjects Enterprise.

Note:    The only exceptions to this occur when a user has an alias to an Enterprise account. To restrict access, disable or delete the user's Enterprise account. For more information, see Managing Enterprise and general accounts.
